How To Take Fentanyl Sublingual Tablets
You place a fentanyl tablet just below your tongue. As the tablet dissolves, you’ll notice some little bubbling. You shouldn’t chew it. The pill may take 15 to 25 minutes to dissolve completely. If a tablet is still present after 30 minutes, it can be ingested together with a glass of water.
The dosage of fentanyl sublingual tablets that is appropriate for you will be advised by your doctor. One more fentanyl sublingual tablet (of the same amount) may be taken if your pain does not go away in 30 minutes and your doctor has given the go-ahead. The tablet should not be chewed, swallowed, or divided. Wait until the tablet has completely dissolved before eating or drinking anything.
